For what purposes will we use your personal data?

The personal data we collect from you, we will use for the following purposes that are necessary for the service you request:

To carry out the provision of the services and products you have requested; to notify you about new services or products that are related to those already contracted or acquired; in general, to comply with the obligations we have contracted with you.
In addition, we will use your personal information for the following purposes that are not necessary for the requested service, but that allow us and facilitate you to give you better attention:

To communicate about changes in services and products; develop studies and programs that are necessary to determine consumption habits; perform periodic evaluations of our products and services in order to improve the quality of them; evaluate the quality of the service we provide according to your profile.

The refusal to use your personal data for these purposes may not be a reason for us to deny you the services and products you request or contract with us.

What personal data will we use for these purposes?

To carry out the purposes described in this privacy notice, we will use personal identification, work and contact data, as well as billing data if required

How can you access, rectify or cancel your personal data, or object to its use?

You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, what we use it for and the conditions of use we give it (Access). Likewise, it is your right to request the correction of your personal information in case it is outdated, inaccurate or incomplete (Rectification); that we delete it from our records or databases when it considers that it is not being used in accordance with the principles, duties and obligations provided for in the regulations (Cancellation); as well as to oppose the use of your personal data for specific purposes (Opposition). These rights are known as ARCO rights.

The use of tracking technologies on our Internet portal

When you visit the CONGREXPO site, we automatically collect some personal data. With this information we compile statistics on how many users visited our websites and which pages they accessed. By collecting this information, we learn how to best tailor the websites to our visitors. As explained below, we collect this information through ” temporary files” or “web beacons”.

Francis Fukuyama

Francis Fukuyama, renowned political commentator, futurist and author, Professor at Stanford University

He is the Olivier Nomellini Senior Fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI), and Director of the Ford Dorsey Master’s in International Policy.  He is also a professor (by courtesy) of Political Science.

From 2015 to 2021, he served as the Mosbacher Director of FSI’s Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law (CDDRL).

Dr. Fukuyama has written widely on issues in development and international politics.  His 1992 book, The End of History and the Last Man, has appeared in over twenty foreign editions.   His most recent book, Identity: The Demand for Dignity and the Politics of Resentment, was published in Sept. 2018.

Francis Fukuyama received his B.A. from Cornell University in classics, and his Ph.D. from Harvard in Political Science.  He was a member of the Political Science Department of the RAND Corporation, and of the Policy Planning Staff of the US Department of State.  From 1996-2000 he was Omer L. and Nancy Hirst Professor of Public Policy at the School of Public Policy at George Mason University, and from 2001-2010 he was Bernard L. Schwartz Professor of International Political Economy at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University.  He served as a member of the President’s Council on Bioethics from 2001-2004.

Dr. Fukuyama holds honorary doctorates from Connecticut College, Doane College, Doshisha University (Japan), Kansai University (Japan), and Aarhus University (Denmark), and the Pardee Rand Graduate School.  He is a non-resident fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and at the Center for Global Development.  He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Pardee Rand Graduate School and the Volcker Alliance.  He is a member of the American Political Science Association and the Council on Foreign Relations.
